OUR JOURNEY

A Legacy of Community Development

Phase I
Initially, our primary focus was the resettlement and rehabilitation of Tibetan refugees in Odeyarapalya, Gurupura, Bylakuppe, and Mundgod. Once this mission was successfully accomplished, MYRADA shifted its dedication towards the development and upliftment of local communities.
1979 to 2007
Phase III
MYKAPS came into its own in January 2008, farmers development and environment conservation activities. This new approach prioritized small, marginal, and tribal farmers, including women farmers, transitioning from a child-centered community development model to one that emphasized on environment conservation and sustainable livelihood for entire families.
1968 to 1978
Phase II
MYKAPS / MYRADA operated in the region through the MYRADA/Plan H.D. Kote Project, primarily focusing on securing children's rights, empowering women, and improving rural infrastructure such as housing, classroom construction, potable water systems, and community centers. The project emphasized child-centered community development, with women and children being the primary beneficiaries. In 2006-07, MYKAPS, an MPI was evolved by a resolution of the MYRADA Board. This marked the beginning of MYKAPS' journey, with a continued focus on community development initiatives.
From 2008 onwards
